Hey hey, a couple new things are going on in my art life. First, I decided to audit the Concept Art course at the uni. to keep myself practiced and because it's being run by a different instructor so hopefully I'll learn some new things! Also, I finally got myself a ConceptArt.org account yesterday so I can start participating in their Character of the Week and maybe Creature of the Week challenges! I think it will help me grow as an artist, as well as get me to produce some even better designs!
Today, I've got some character thumbnail designs for a Half-Drow Ranger (who's a Hippogryph rider!) that I play in a Pathfinder campaign. As it says on the design sheet, the character is from the Northern regions of the world, so most of her clothing is rather bulky and warm, or has many layers. As a Ranger, she is also close to nature and is skilled in Trapping, Tracking, and Hunting, so she sports many furs and other hand made clothing items. She has an owl pet...mostly just because I like owls, but also because she feels a close kindred to avian kind - hence the whole Hippogryph riding thing.
Now we'll see if I can choose between all these for a final design...I think asking for opinions is definitely in order.
