Spring Time Bear

Hey there, back with another t-shirt design for the Spring 2013 Woot Derby! I was rather wishy-washy about whether I would enter this one or not, but right before I went to bed last night I came up with this idea and had to sketch it immediately! [Derby Voting Page]

The final was done in Illustrator, but the initial sketch was created in Photoshop.
In the first or second week of April I will have a bunch of sketches and illustrations to post that I'm working on for a project.

Studies

Hey,
It's been a while since my last post. The last couple months have been pretty crazy so I didn't get much time to sit down and draw. Luckily in the past couple of weeks I decided to take just an hour, here and there, to do a quick study. I've mostly just used stock from DeviantArt for lack of wanting to take time away from drawing to track down anything else.

Anyway, here are my favorites:

As usual, done in Photoshop CS5 with an Intuos5

News and Sketch

First off, the news. I made a RedBubble account a couple days ago so I have somewhere to post/sell the t-shirts that I design for Woot Derbies along with any other designs. Woo! It's exciting stuff.
Right now I have this Portal poster up:

Secondly, I have a sketch for you:

It's Mockingbird (Marvel), who I fell in love with a few months back for....some unexplained reason. I really enjoy her backstory and what she's up to in the more current storyline is really awesome (SUPER SOLDIER SERUM GOOO).
Both were done in Photoshop

Rocket Buddha

Like I mentioned in my last post, I've been getting into t-shirt design my participating in Woot derbies. I started last week with the topic "Gold." Here's the design I came up with:

I titled it Fly Me to the Moon (I couldn't get Frankie's song out of my head). It's a little zany, but I really enjoyed working on it and learned a lot. Like...how to work with only six colors. That was probably the most difficult part of my first design along with picking out my Pantone's BEFORE choosing random colors. It was rather tedious to go through and compare all my colors to the Pantone list to find substitutes, so I made sure to pick out my colors before moving out of the sketch stage on my Queen's Best Friend design.

Queen's Best Friend

Long time no post. I have some backlogged sketches I need to show, but I'm going to start out with something new I've been trying lately: Tshirt designs! I never thought I'd find myself designing t-shirts and enjoying the heck out of it, but it's happened. We can't predict everything. I entered the last two Shirt.Woot derbies, and I'll start by posting this week's entry. The topic is England:

I might be the only one, but the corgis were my favorite part of the opening ceremony for the London Olympics this year. They were ADORABLE, so there was no way I could pass up the chance to do a corgi-related design for this week's derby.
